Tarpins alert

The good news is, the champ is running on Cup Day.

The bad news is, he’ll be gracing the track at dusty Echuca rather than the manicured lawns of Flemington.

Tarpins is up in distance to 1400 metres and running in blinkers for the first time. A little trick Cliff Brown picked up from Bart Cummings. We’ve also traded in the jockey – a bit harsh on D Moor – and he’ll now be ridden by N Stanley
Echuca Race 5 Number 10 @ 3.17pm.

Don’t say you weren’t told.

Odds are $15 in the Sportsman today. Favourite is a horse called Blind, perhaps an omen for Cup week.

  2. clarkebruce says:

The monkeys have him at a $51 shot

Good job I didn’t listen and add to my Melbourne Cup losses. At least I managed an impressive food and piss diary entry yesterday.
