Smoking!
In restaurants, in bars, at the beach, walking down the street, in shops, in airport lounges, in queues.
Everywhere!
During one particularly enjoyable meal in a classy restaurant in Portugal, the next table of three adults lit up and proceeded to blow their putrid smoke, not only all over us and our meals, but all over the young child who was with them.
It was virtually impossible to breath in the airport terminal building at Faro.
Come on guys, get with the program and ban this disgusting habit
Not in Ireland or Britain! It’s illegal to smoke in any enclosed public space here.
Right you are Prospectus, that came in just before we arrived.
Our main problems were in Portugal. I should have been more specific in canning Europe!
Thanks for dropping by.
Oh yes, I agree! I found that so hard in Greece particularly.
No worries mate, I wasn’t getting defensive. Hopefully it’s a sign of things to come elsewhere too – and I say that as a smoker.
Great news here mate too. The Mernda PubTAB, an extremely confined space I have been known to visit for extended periods, is smoke free. I can now see my fellow punters, without needing an iron lung when I leave.
Scott, the only step now required to obtain fresh air at the Mernda PubTAB is to go all the way and make it a ‘fart-free-zone’.
